Pediatric Cow’s Milk Protein Allergy
Cow’s Milk Protein Allergy (CMPA) also known as Cow’s Milk Allergy (CMA) is one of the most common food allergies in infants and young children. It has been defined as, a reproducible adverse reaction to one or more milk proteins (usually caseins or whey beta-lactoglobulin) mediated through immunoglobulin (Ig) E and / or non-IgE mechanisms (Hill & Hosking 1995).
This site is dedicated to providing the support healthcare professionals, patients and caregivers need to provide the best possible care for infants with CMPA.
